Emojis have become an important way of communicating without having to say a single word, but the upcoming release of iOS 10.2 is threatening our very way of life by redesigning one of the most important emojis in existence — the peach.
The peach has served as the stark symbol of a butt since the day the fruit was introduced,
but the update has taken away all of our fun by re imagining the emoji to look more like an actual peach and less like a cartoon bottom.
for everyone complaining about the new peach emoji 🍑 pic.twitter.com/48vIhrtEJX— TIGER WANG ☻ (@tigerwang) November 2, 2016
The update will include plenty of new emojis to enjoy, including a face-palm and a firefighter, but none of them are able to step in as the new rump representation.
Guys, I just heard that the peach emoji is being retired and I am distraught. #🍑FOREVER #SAVETHEPEACHEMOJI— nicolette mason (@nicolettemason) November 2, 2016
We’re less than a week away from one of the scariest elections of our lifetime, but would a Clinton or Trump presidency even acknowledge this disturbing dilemma? Is this a direct attack on our sexting lives? Are we actually supposed to spell out the word “butt” now in all our texts about butts?
So many questions left unanswered as we brave this new world in which we’re forced to leave the peach behind. Good luck to you all.
