Jerry Sandusky's son Jeffrey arrested on child sex charges

One of Jerry Sandusky's sons was charged Monday with sex crimes involving two girls, more than five years after the former Penn State assistant coach was himself first arrested on child molestation charges.

Jeffrey S. Sandusky, 41, was charged by state police and arraigned by a district judge in Bellefonte on 14 counts. He was jailed on $200,000 bail.

Sandusky was a stalwart supporter of his father and accompanied his mother, Dottie, to many of his court proceedings. On Monday, Dottie accompanied Jeffrey Sandusky to his.

Police accused him of soliciting naked photos from a then-16-year-old girl last year and seeking oral sex in 2013 from her then-15-year-old sister.

His defense lawyer, Lance Marshall, declined to comment on the allegations.

"All children have a right to be safe," said Centre County District Attorney Stacy Parks Miller. "We will prosecute this case as aggressively as we do all child abuse cases."

Miller said Sandusky talked to investigators. "He made statements," Miller said. "I wouldn't classify them necessarily as directly inculpatory, but I don't think they helped him much."

Sandusky was charged with solicitation of statutory sexual assault, solicitation of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, six counts of unlawful contact with a minor and two counts each of solicitation to photograph or depict sexual acts, sexual abuse of children and corruption of minors.

A state trooper said in the arrest affidavit that on Nov. 21, the alleged victims' father turned over to investigators text messages from Sandusky in which he asked one of the girls for nude photographs.

The affidavit said Sandusky told the alleged victim in texts in March that "it's not weird because he studied medicine" and instructed her "to not show these texts to anyone."

The girl's mother told investigators that when she confronted Sandusky, he told her "he knows it was wrong and inappropriate," police said.

"The victims' mother advised that Jeffrey Sandusky had advised her that he was trying to help her daughter by getting naked pictures of her off the internet and needed naked pictures of her to do it and to 'role play,'" the affidavit said.

The girl, called "Victim 1" in the affidavit, told police the texts made her uncomfortable and that "he kept pressuring me and asked me multiple times not to show the texts to anyone," police said.

Prosecutors allege Jeffrey Sandusky sought oral sex from a second girl, "Victim 2," in 2013. She was 15 years old at the time.

"Victim 2" told investigators that Jeffrey Sandusky told her in March: "I can't even say anything except I'm sorry."

Jerry Sandusky, who adopted Jeffrey Sandusky and five other children, is serving a lengthy prison sentence for sexual abuse of 10 boys.

Jeffrey Sandusky has not made any public allegations of abuse by Jerry Sandusky, but one of his siblings, Matt Sandusky, alleged during their adoptive father's 2012 criminal trial that he had been abused by him. Matt Sandusky was not called as a witness, and Jerry Sandusky has never been charged with those allegations.

The state Corrections Department said that because of the charges, Jeffrey Sandusky was suspended without pay Monday from employment as a corrections officer at Rockview State Prison, near State College. He had been hired in August 2015.

It’s that time of year again, the air is still bitter and so am I.  Well, to be honest, it’s not for the reasons you might think.  It’s the plight of the single person on Valentine’s Day. It seems like on this “oh so special day” of the year a spotlight is placed upon every human being who is unfortunate enough to find themselves unattached.

The questions start early, say mid January time frame, as your co-workers begin to circle like sharks. “I notice there aren’t any pictures on your desk, is there a special fella?” First of all, “fella?”  What decade is this? Secondly, oh wait there’s a phone call.  “Hi Grandma……oh you have a lovely girl you would like me to meet……..she’s older like me and never married?…..Grandma she’s probably a lesbian, like me……..no I’m not a lesbian….I mean I’m gay, remember”…..and hang up on Grandma.  Finally I get to escape to the sweet refuge of my home as I sit on the couch and turn on the television and am immediately bombarded with ad after ad telling me how lonely I am and how my life cannot be complete if I am not on a romantic get away, with a perfect diamond shoved in my pocket, at a very specific restaurant ready to propose to a woman…..apparently. So, I’m done.

I don’t want to shock corporate America, or Grandma or any of the “well meaning” people around me, but I’m OK being single.  I may even say I’m happy where I am.  We put far too much pressure on the single people in the world, we have historically always relegated them to a lower level of existence with words like “spinster” or “confirmed bachelor” always said with a touch of pity and disdain.  Humans have consistently had an issue with the need to feel better then the humans around them.

Maybe we should all turn the television off for a  minute, put down the box of chocolates and see each other as complete.  That’s right.  Complete as we are in this moment in time, at this breath of life.  Maybe if we stop feeling inadequate, we will stop supporting things that damage us, allowing others’ expectations to supersede our own, and hurt each other a little  less.  The truth is we are all OK.  Coupled, single, oversexed, undersexed, big, small, black, white and every other label we can slap on each other.

So yes, I’m single and it’s Valentine’s Day, but I am happier than I have ever been.  I like my life, my work, myself.  Hey, I even like you, even when you ask if I’m dating, where my pictures of love are and yes, Grandma I love you too for thinking that is what it takes for me to be happy. Maybe just dial down the pressure and accept that where I am right now is where I need to be.  Just a thought.

Now before we go I want you to take a moment, put on Alanis Morissette’s “That I Would Be Good,” poor yourself a good glass of wine and re-read this article.  It may just change the way you see the World.  Or at least you will be less of an asshole to your single friends. Win/win really! Muah!

GOP Congressmen on Fast Track to Revoke Marriage Equality

From: kenneth in the (212)
As predicted, the Republican-controlled House plans to reintroduce the so-called First Amendment Defense Act (FADA), which is a pretty way of saying "fags are second-class citizens." If the filibuster somehow stops this from going through -- it has bipartisan support in the House and Senate, plus Trump loves licking evangelical ass -- the upcoming challenge to same-sex marriage rights in Texas will surely do the trick, because once Trump's Supreme Court signs off on Texas' bullshit, other states will be able to have their own FADAs. (To top it off, Trump can claim gay marriage is still intact because we will still be able to wed in all 50 states, we'll just be separate and not equal in the red ones.) Thanks again to all my friends and family who thought Hillary Clinton was "just as bad." Read HERE.

Heart Throb: Behind The Scenes

February 13, 2016
From: Favorite Hunks & Other Things
I think fate had a little to do with Norm's appearance on FH this Valentines. I have been fortunate to have been able to showcase the work of New Manhattan Studios on many holidays, including February 14th. I first featured Wes's heart and chocolate themed images with his romantic penthouse images of Claudiu back in 2014. (Ambition). Then last year, we celebrated the day with New Manhattan Studios work with Bond in two features, (AValentines Unattire) and a look behind the scenes. (Becoming Bond)

'There was an amusing commonality between the two sessions that might be apparent to the more intent viewer. Bond’s borrowed-from-Dad tuxedo and Norm’s purchased-for-the-occasion red flannel long-johns were each visibly too big. Any number of clamps and pins couldn’t hide the fact that the models were swimming in the clothing'

'The solution in both cases was the same: grab a few establishing shots and get them out of the clothes as quickly as possible. Both men did so with aplomb as the camera’s clicked away.'

Wes and I had been talking for awhile about showcasing Alex Corso, both his work in front of, and behind the camera. FH kicked off the New Year with All Things Alex, a celebration of Alex's work with NMS. In the feature The Importance of Detail, the focus was on Alex's work as a photographer and within that set was a model, and incredible body, that I knew I wanted to explore further.

'I was blown away by the 18-year-old’s impressive physique. Indeed, not only is his build the best I’ve seen on anyone that young, he has one of the best-defined bodies of anyone I’ve shot. It was a pleasure working with him.'

I too was impressed with Norm's look and his incredible physique that he clearly works hard to maintain. It was the gym that originally connected Norm to Alex, who also works out there. Norm and Alex became friendly and after Norm learned of Alex's job, began to think maybe all of his hard work might need to be captured and enjoyed by others.

'Wes and Alex are very good kind hearted people they were very supportive and very impressed by my shoots considering that I'm new at this! I was a bit nervous but I figured why not show off the hard work I put at the gym? It would be rude not to show off once in a while for all the hours I put in. I look forward for more shoots with Wes and Alex because I really enjoyed it!!!!!'

I am sure most of us would love to open our door to find Norm on the other side with flowers, a box of chocolates, in a tux, white shirt or wearing nothing at all. Thanks to Norm and NMS for the Valentine visit and I hope the tradition of holidays on FH with images from New Manhattan Studios continues long in the future. I have many idea's I'd love to explore (although Wes didn't seem to impressed with my idea for Alex and a four leaf clover...) But I look forward to what's to come next!
