Success was short-lived for Morten and the boys, at least in the U.S. After the phenomenal success of “Take On Me,” they would hit the Hot 100 twice more. With the follow-up “The Sun Always Shines On TV,” which hit #20 in February 1986, and “Cry Wolf,” which was the first single in the U.S. from their second album Scoundrel Days. It would hit #50 in March 1987.

BONUS! Here’s the underrated “The Sun Always Shines On TV.”

Classic Television - Prime Time

Cannon
Original channel
CBS
Original run
September 14, 1971 – March 3, 1976
Starring
William Conrad
Cannon is a CBS detective television series produced by Quinn Martin which aired from September 14, 1971 to March 3, 1976. The primary protagonist is the title character, private detective Frank Cannon, played by William Conrad. He also appeared on two episodes of Barnaby Jones.
Cannon is the first Quinn Martin-produced series to be aired on a network other than ABC. A "revival" television film, The Return of Frank Cannon, was aired on November 1, 1980. In total, there were 124 episodes.

Frank Cannon was a detective with the Los Angeles Police Department, however he retired after the deaths of his wife and son in a car accident and later became a private detective. The series begins at the point where Cannon is just beginning this new career (the pilot film picks up after Cannon has just spent 2 1/2 months overseas on an investigation). The cause of death of Cannon's wife and child was not clear through the first four seasons of the show. However, the first episode of the fifth and final season revolves around Cannon's investigation of the deaths, and he finally finds out the reason they were killed.
The noticeably overweight Frank Cannon had expensive tastes, especially in food and cars. (His primary vehicle was a silver '72 Lincoln Continental Mark IV.) Cannon's investigations were mostly for clients in the Southern California area, although on occasion he was called in for investigations much farther away (e.g., New Mexico in the pilot).
Cannon occasionally would get hurt (shot or beaten) and knocked unconscious. He carried a gun for self-defense, usually a snub-nosed .38 Special revolver (which appeared to be a Colt Detective Special). Sometimes he used other guns (Including an M1911 and a B.A.R). He was known to subdue suspects with karate chops, judo holds, and occasionally he would thrust and knock down adversaries with his huge abdomen.
In the first two seasons Cannon was a pipe smoker. In the third season, the pipe was seen occasionally; it was subsequently dropped altogether.

7 Shows That Need To Fix The Gay In 2016

There be spoilers ahead!
From: NewNowNext
As we wrap up 2015, we’ve got more gay characters on television than ever before. In fact, it’s rare to find a series that doesn’t have some kind of LGBT presence.

But not every show gets it right.

Even some of our favorite and most inclusive shows need to do some fine tuning to give their gay characters their fair due.

This holiday season we’re gifting seven shows with instructions on how they can fix their flawed LGBT story lines and characters.

1
Nashville

Oh, Nashville. You gave us a strapping, masculine gay character in Will Lexington (Chris Carmack) and while it only seemed like forever, he did finally come out of the closet at the end of last season. This being a soap, though, we knew his relationship with perfect boyfriend, Kevin (Kyle Dean Massey), would hit a snag and his country music career would face challenges with being an out artist.

But does every Will story have to be about him being gay? Maybe he could have money issues or find himself in a situation that could open up his career but burn his friendship with Gunnar in the process? Come on, Nashville.

Cornell Frat Bros Strip Down With Their Pets For 2016 “Men Of Vet School” Calendar

The frat boy/puppy combination will always be a winner.
From: NewNowNext
The hunky fraternity bros of Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine have stripped down to pose with their four-legged friends once again for their annual charity calendar.
Each year the dudes of Omega Tau Sigma round up their most adorable kittens, puppies, horses, cows (and strapping young friends) to grace the pages of the calendar, which benefits their fraternity as well as the Patient Assistance Fund, a local nonprofit that helps people in need pay for their pet’s veterinary expenses.

And judging by their Instagram, the brand new 2016 calendar is going to be just as sexy as last year’s.

Check out a few of the best shots from the 2016 Men of Vet School below, and pick up your own copy at Etsy.

From Occupy Pedophilia to The Gay Couple Who Beat Up Their Attacker, Here’s The Top Ten Most-Read News Stories of 2015

From: LGBTQ Nation
Several time a year, a story takes off and instantaneously connects with our readership, inspiring a seemingly endless outpouring of commentary, and making the rounds for days or sometimes even weeks at a time.

While it’s often abundantly clear why a story managed to captivate your attention — the fact that you enjoyed “U.S. Supreme Court Rules For Nationwide marriage equality,” for example, wasn’t exactly a shocker — on other occasions, we’ll be pleasantly surprised to find a story takes on a surprisingly life of its own. (The story of how one family decided to deal with homophobic graffiti, for example.)
Check out ten of the most-read stories from the last twelve months.

The video may be the most romantic he’s ever done, as he’s seen in various states of affection with actor Trevor LaPaglia, in a slideshow of warm memories and happy times.
Steve shows up at the end to deliver a message for the holidays, and thank his fans. It’s a sweet and sincere video, and a reminder of why we fell in love with him.
