March 13th is National Open An Umbrella Indoors Day

The driving force among a number of superstitions is luck, good or bad. Superstitions are "beliefs or practices resulting from ignorance, fear of the unknown or trust in magic or chance," according to Santa Rosa College. Thomas Edward Knibb originated National Open an Umbrella Indoors Day, encouraging you to turn your back to bad luck and open an umbrella indoors.
