Was Barbie lucky or unlucky to meet up with Ken? The Ken Doll, aka Ken Carson, debuted on March 13, 1961. Mattel introduced him as Barbie's boyfriend. He had "brown hair and his own fashionable wardrobe," according to Mattel. Ken, voiced by Michael Keaton, had a decent role in "Toy Story 3" and proved once and for all he was way more into his clothes than he was into his blond bombshell girlfriend.
