The De-load week: Taking it easy after a program of grueling training.
If you do cross fit, or have done any sort of squat cycle or weightlifting program, you know about de-loading, and de-load week. If you aren't part of the cult of cross fit and / or have never done any weightlifting cycle, why not?
Getting back on track, de-loading is a simple concept. Before you start the cycle, you figure out your one-rep max on a particular exercise, and each time you complete a workout in the cycle, your reps are based on that, usually up to 95%. At the end of the cycle, you see if you've progressed past your old max and are able to lift more weight. Once you get to your new max, a de-load week is usually advised. Simply put, a de-load is where you scale your training back to a smaller percentage of your max, and sometimes you do more reps, to prevent over training. De-loads usually last for a week.
This past week has basically been a deload for me. And the whole month was basically congruous to a weightlifting cycle.
At the beginning, I had my last wank with porn. Then, I jacked off without porn, to see if I could do it. I worked towards the goal of not NEEDING to use porn, and had some highs and lows. I hit the peak of my training, and had some intense orgasms, sans porn, and now I'm de-loading, to make sure I can just jack off with my hand and no antics.
And, just like yesterday, I still can. Also just like yesterday, I'm able to rely more on the sensations my body is feeling, and less on visual stimulation.
I'm not 100% at my training yet - that's the ever-coveted hands-free orgasm, or orgasming whilst getting fucked. And I may never achieve those. But now that my mental muscle is getting stronger, nothing may be impossible.
