Since today is the first day of Winter, I thought I would share a couple shots of myself have some fun in the snow! Enjoy!
Winter officially begins on Dec. 21, marking the slow return of the sun making the days become longer for those north of the equator. The day itself is the darkest and shortest day of the year, when the sun reaches its southernmost point in the sky.
The Winter Solstice begins Dec. 21, 2013, at 5:11 Coordinated Universal Time or 12:11 p.m. Eastern time. On that day, the United States will receive nine hours and 32 minutes of daylight.
