Amy Schumer, Seth Rogen Celebrate Gender Diversity In New Bud Light Ad

The Bud Light Party takes a stand on trans rights.
From: NewNowNext
Amy Schumer and Seth Rogen appear in a new election-themed ad for Bud Light that touches on gender diversity.

“We are going to bring America together… to party for everyone, men, women, people of all genders!” Rogen shout from a dais.

“But, you know, gender identity it’s really a spectrum and we don’t need these labels,” adds Schumer, addressing workers in a steel mill.
“Beer should have labels, not people! We don’t care, we will sell you beer. We’ll sell you a beer any day of the week.”

It’s not the most elegant endorsement (are trans people supposed to be grateful Bud Light will sell them beer?) but we think their heart was in the right place.

“From the start of our campaign at the Super Bowl, The Bud Light Party has rallied around bringing people together,” Bud Light VP Alex Lambrecht said a statement. “In our newest spot, Seth and Amy remind Americans that labels belong on beer, not people—a message Bud Light proudly supports.”

An earlier spot featuring the two comedians was set at a same-sex wedding.

Bud Light has a long history of connecting with the LGBT community: In 1996, the company began running ads with the line, “Labels belong on beer, not people,” in gay magazines, and it has a presence at Pride and other events ever since.
