"He is the most disingenuous man I’ve ever seen."From: NewNowNext
Cher is about as terrified at the prospect of a Trump presidency as you are.
Last night on MSNBC’s The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell, the Dark Lady said she doesn’t buy the Republican nominee’s hollow promise to protect the LGBTQ community from the “hateful and oppression of a hateful foreign ideology,”
“Oh come on,” she remarked, laughing. “He has says those letters like a child that is just learning the alphabet. And then pokes his finger in the air for ‘Q.'”
“He is the most disingenuous man I’ve ever seen,” she added. “And I want to tell you: my people will not believe him for a minute.”
Cher also questioned Trump’s appearance at an anti-LGBT evangelical conference just two months after the Pulse nightclub shooting.
“How does he go from that meeting to telling my people that he will protect them?” she asked. “I fear for what they will do to those people. To my people.”
Last week, Cher went on a whirlwind tour of gay meccas, stumping for Hillary Clinton in Miami Beach, Fire Island and Provincetown.
While in the Pines, she told a rapt audience, “I fear what would happen in a Trump administration—because I feel like he’s the worst person I’ve ever seen.”
