Gay singer-songwriter Tom Goss has debuted a new music video that uses to dance to prove that love is love.
The video for Goss’ song “Breath and Sound” shows three couples, one straight, one gay, one lesbian, dancing a complex and beautiful routine that epitomizes the way that all relationships are a dance–and also fundamentally the same. Goss told The Huffington Post, “We want to be close to somebody, but we’re afraid to let them too close. We come together, we push each other away.” And yet for all the nuances each relationship has, they are universally all the same: “No matter the dancers, the dance is always the same. Love is love.”
As for what Goss hopes the LGBTQ community will take away from his video, he said,
“I want them to feel like I’m telling their story. I want them to be moved. That’s why I’m doing this. There isn’t enough LGBTQ content being produced. Historically, people have been afraid to tell these stories – but I’m not. I will always use my voice to help tell the stories of those who cannot.”
