The 21st Street Baths were a popular San Francisco gay bathhouse that opened in 1964 at 3244 21st Street in in the Mission District. From the 1960's through the early 1970's it was called just The Baths. In 1987 it was the last bathhouse to be closed in the city of San Francisco due to the AIDS crisis.
