Pop! Vinyl Figure Created Of Orlando Victim Who Worked At Wizarding World of Harry Potter

The figure was made in the likeness of Luis Vielma to honor the victim's memory.

The image of a vinyl Pop! figure made in the likeness of Orlando shooting victim Luis Vielma surfaced on social media this past Monday. The figure has Vielma decked out in full Harry Potter regalia, including a Gryffindor house uniform and a magic wand.

Vielma, who was 22 when he met his untimely end at Pulse nightclub earlier this month, was an employee at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Florida. When news first broke of his employment at the theme park, J.K. Rowling shared a moving tweet in honor of Vielma.

Later, his fellow workers held a candlelight vigil for him at the base of the Hogwarts castle replica in the park. They ceremoniously raised their wands in memory of their slain co-worker, “one of the bravest and best Gryffindors the world has ever known.”

Now, another heartfelt tribute has been made to Vielma’s memory in the form of this new vinyl Pop! figure.

The figure was created by Brandon Anderson, who said he was motivated to design it after a user on the Funko Pop! Facebook page he’s on suggested that someone customize a figure in tribute to Vielma.

Anderson, who didn’t personally know him, made the figurine using the DIY feature on the Pop! site. As of this writing, he is currently at work trying to get the figurine in the hands of Vielma’s family.
