Josh Hartnett in Penny Dreadful

Joshua Daniel "Josh" Hartnett (born July 21, 1978) is an American actor and producer. He first came to attention in 1997 for his role as Michael Fitzgerald in the television series Cracker. He made his feature film debut in 1998 in Halloween H20: 20 Years Later, followed by teen roles in films such as The Faculty and The Virgin Suicides. Hartnett has since gone on to further fame for his roles in films such as Pearl Harbor, O, Black Hawk Down, 40 Days and 40 Nights, and 30 Days of Night.

Penny Dreadful is a horror TV series created for Showtime by John Logan and executive produced by Logan and Sam Mendes.

The show was originally pitched to several US and UK channels, and eventually landed with Showtime, with Sky Atlantic as co-producer. It premiered at the South by Southwest film festival on March 9 and began airing on television on April 28, 2014 on Showtime OnDemand. The show premiered on the Showtime channel on May 11, 2014.  The first two episodes of the series were both available on demand before the respective episodes were broadcast over the air.

The title refers to the penny dreadfuls, a type of 19th century cheap British fiction publication with lurid and sensational subject matter. The series draws upon many public domain characters from 19th century Irish and British fiction, including Dorian Gray from Oscar Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray, Mina Harker from Bram Stoker's Dracula, and Victor Frankenstein and his monster from Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.

Josh Hartnett as Ethan Chandler, a charming, brash, daring man of action who is unafraid of violence and more complicated than he likes to admit.

Josh Hartnett has remained relatively attractive since his heyday in the late ’90s and early ’00s, yet if you asked me to make a list of attractive people, I probably wouldn't think to jot his name down without a reminder. I’d compare him to Orlando Bloom in that regard. While they don’t possess the perpetual pantie-wetting qualities of, say, Zac Efron or Christopher Meloni, you’d be hard-pressed to find anyone who’d say “no” to either of them.
But maybe there’s room for Harnett to experience a sex symbol renaissance? Apparently, he’s appearing in the new Showtime series Penny Dreadful, and a recent episode featured his bare bum in a seemingly intense sex scene. I’m assuming the pace I chose for the GIF above may be too fast… But, uh, it’s how I’d want Hartnett to fuck me if I were in that chick’s position.
