When I was a kid I used to spend hours daydreaming about what I would do if I won that elusive Toys ‘R Us shopping spree. I had every aisle planned, every step timed so I could get all the good stuff in my allotted five-minute run. Oh to be a kid again. Now that I am all grown up, I have put childish things away. Now I spend my time daydreaming about a shopping spree with a much more upgraded list of toys. So if you are a geeky gadget head like me, let me give you a few fun items to add to your wish list.

Who didn’t love the show Knight Rider growing up? I would sit in my parents brown and yellow station wagon and pretend it was the sleek, black 1984 Pontiac Trans Am named KITT from the television series. Thanks to the company Next Thing, I can turn any car into a 1980’s throw-back to the future. To be honest, Next Thing is not touting the Dashbot (that’s what they call it) as your personal KITT, but I am not the first writer to zone in on this similarity. In simple terms it is a hands free device you attach to your dashboard that connects to your smartphone through Bluetooth technology allowing you to access texting, music, navigation and more with the sound of your voice.
The great thing is it’s usable with all smartphones despite brand and has an attractive $49 price tag. The not-so-great thing is that is currently only available through its Kickstarter campaign. Next Thing has had other successful campaigns and this one looks to be on track. Ship date is not until next year, but good things are worth the pre-order!

You know what my favorite sound is? The screeching, relentless noise emitting from my alarm every morning at way too early to think about. That’s called sarcasm. WITTI Design has just the solution with the Beddi Smart Alarm Clock. It may look like a simple docking station for your smartphone, yet not only will it charge your device but you can program it to wake you with your favorite song starting as a whisper and gradually getting louder and louder until you are eyes wide open ready to face your day. The features are endless, it can give you the weather report, let you know what the traffic on your commute is looking like and even call you a cab. There are even options to lull you to sleep at night. For just around $100, it’s worth checking into!
Private Gym Penis Trainer…….I’m just going to let that sink in for a moment. Let’s face it gentlemen, our pelvic floor is the one part of our body we don’t typically hit at the gym…..well most gyms. It is also that part of our body that controls the strength of our erections, orgasms, and even urinary incontinence. This exercise program comes with a DVD and penis weights (you heard me) and if you visit their website they have even more. This may not be considered high tech but hey it’s worth mentioning!

The RiF6 Cube is the first time 2 inches makes you the most sought after man in the room. This 2 inch cube is actually a mini projector that can be connected to any number of devices from smart-phones to gaming consoles and project a 120 inch display on any surface you like! Sounds like a great excuse for a house party to me!
How long have you dreamed about having your own robot like Rosie from the Jetsons or Dot Matrix from Spaceballs? You know, one that can recognize you, shows emotion, learns from you? Well we are one step closer with the Anki Cozmo Robot. This tiny little robot pal has facial recognition software and display screen to show its emotions and learns from you. You can also download a software development kit to learn how to get even more into the AI scene. Sounds like a nerd’s paradise to me.
