Alexander McQueen is one of the most accomplished fashion designers of the past 100 years, or I guess 1000 years, or hell just since the beginning of time, and to celebrate his work director Andrew Haigh is putting together a McQueen biopic. As of this week smoking 26-year-old hottie Jack O'Connell has been chosen to fill the patent leather loafers, and interestingly enough, he's gone full frontal in a previous movie! If you've watched a McQueen men's runway show you'll know the openly gay fashion designer has a taste for the finer boys in life, and I'm glad they cast the just plain pretty Jack O'Connell for this role.
Before I wrote this I gave myself a refresher course on Alexander McQueen's life and death. The former is inspiring, and the latter is about as sad and tragic as can be. The untitled Alexander McQueen biopic chooses to focus on life, specifically the moments leading up to the designer's divisive but memorable 2009 fall ready-to-wear runway show, which you can check out below. This was months before McQueen committed suicide in February of 2010, and I have to say the runway show feels very macabre. It represented a retrospective of the designer's work over a 15 year period, and came at a time when he was grappling with his mother's illness. The company distributing the film has this to say: Via Variety (link below)
In 2009, Alexander McQueen put on one of his greatest shows — a stunningly beautiful re-working of his greatest designs from the past 15 years. It was a show that he dedicated to his mother and one in which he tried to make sense of his life and art. The film explores McQueen’s creative process in the months leading up to the show, providing an intimate portrait of the man behind the global brand — a moving celebration of a visionary genius whose designs transcended fashion to become art.
The Vogue review has a different take on the show, but of course it was written before McQueen's passing.
OKAY Jesus, let's get back to Jack O'Connell! Alexander is definitely looking down from his herringbone cloud in the sky smiling about the hotness that is his onscreen portrayer. Jack's acting career has been pretty sporadic, but you may have seen him in flicks like 300: Rise of an Empire and TV shows like Skins. He rubbed elbows with A-listers in Money Monsters, where he starred alongside George Clooney and Julia Roberts.
But where is the penis and butt? I'll shall tell you! Angelina Jolie wrangled Jack O'Connell into one of her crappy passion projects, Unbroken (2014), but while he went ass out there, the real magic was the year before in Starred Up. In this prison drama we get a nude bathroom fight scene and some amazing looks at O'Connell's nude bod - uncut cock, balls, ass, and everything in between! Viggo Mortensen, watch your back, Jack's coming for you. Check out every inch of Jack O'Connell's nude body in the gallery below!
