We had all pretty much decided Italian looker Pietro Boselli was the world’s hottest educator, but had things gone differently he might’ve had to endure being number two.
In an interview with People, Top Model winner Nyle DiMarco revealed he planned on being a math teacher when he graduated college.
After leaving Gallaudet University with a degree in mathematics, DiMarco (now on Dancing with the Stars), he hoped to get a job teaching deaf students.
“I grew up with deaf teachers, and I thought all deaf children should have exposure to deaf educators,” said DiMarco, 26.
“They found me through social media,” he revealed. “A lot of people in Hollywood cast hearing people in deaf roles and we [in the Deaf community] are like, ’What do you mean?’ They don’t know what it’s like to be deaf, and they never act it well.”
Top Model producers also stumbled across DiMarco’s Instagram and invited him to audition, without realizing he was deaf.
“I’ve been given a great platform to reframe the Deaf community,” DiMarco says. “I want to use my celebrity for good.”
Frankly, if we knew math teachers could be so hot as these guys, we might have passed trigonometry.
