Matt Bomer dropped 35 pounds for his Golden Globe-winning role in The Normal Heart in 2014, but he’s back to his ripped self now, showing off an impressive washboard stomach in the issue of Men’s Fitness .

The 38-year-old actor posed in a wet white t-shirt for the January/February 2016 issue cover, and thanked his “accountability partner” Channing Tatum for helping him reach physical perfection before starring in Magic Mike: XXL.
According to Matt, the two prepared for the film by working out seven days a week.

As far as his six-pack secret goes, Matt says a little meditation can go a long way.
“It’s what I do to keep myself sane,” he said. “Everyone needs a reset button so you can start your day without anxiety. For some people it’s running, for some it’s going to the gym. For me it’s meditation.”
