Dan Gauthier in “Lower Decks”
Episode 7.15 Season Seven did have a few bright spots, especially “Lower Decks”, which focused on the junior officers of the Enterprise, including mini-Riker Sam Lavelle. Sam is one of four officers anticipating promotions, but Riker finds him off-putting, perhaps because Sam is younger, prettier, and looks like this in a speedo.
