They may have outclassed their rivals in defending their world series sevens rugby crown, but it was what the All Blacks Sevens team did after the match which really set the internet ablaze.
The boys from New Zealand’s All Blacks Sevens team first impressed on the field last night in a decisive tournament win in Hong Kong, outclassing England 26-7.
But it was their heart-stopping performance after the match that attracted even more attention - especially for those who don’t really care about rugby..
Following their win the boys - led by All Blacks Sevens team captain DJ Forbes - took off their shirts and performed a traditional war dance in celebration in the pouring rain.
The Haka is usually performed before a standard rugby match to intimidate the opposition. But in Sevens, the Kiwis used it to celebrate a win.
And while the boys win was no doubt impressive, it was this Haka performance which got Twitter, and women especially, a little excited.
“So the nz players just took there tops of and did the haka”, one user tweeted while another was simply impressed at the display.
