November 18th is Push-button Phone Day

November 18 is Push-button Phone Day.  Today it is hard not to find a push-button phone as it was thoroughly replaced the original rotary phone that I grew up with.  This type of dialing (or I guess more correctly to be called pushing) became commercially available on November 18, 1963 and that leads to the reason why today is this day.
