Michael Campayno makes his television debut as Rolf in NBC's live three-hour telecast of "The Sound of Music," based on the original Broadway musical. The production is executive produced by Neil Meron and Craig Zadan and will air on December 5 at 8/7c. Carrie Underwood, Stephen Moyer, Laura Benanti, Audra McDonald and Christian Borle also star.
Campayno is currently a senior at Carnegie Mellon School of Drama. A Pittsburgh native and the youngest of six, his credits include many productions at Pittsburgh CLO where he is a Gene Kelly Award recipient. Favorite roles include Billy Bigelow in "Carousel" and Gabe in "Next to Normal." He also appeared in "All Shook Up" at North Shore Music Theatre. Follow him @MCampayno.
