JULIE ANDREWS
The latest in our annual Broadway Legends ornament series is the loverly Julie Andrews as the guttersnipe Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady. Draped in a navy blue shawl and wearing her artfully distressed apron and skirt, our violet-selling Cockney heroine dreams of a better life somewhere, “far away from the cold night air.”
ANGELA LANSBURY
Light the candles, get the ice out, because Angela is back! By popular demand, we have reproduced a limited number of the first Broadway Legends ornament, the incomparable Angela Lansbury as Mame. For those who started their collection late, here’s your chance to complete your set. Lounging on the moon with trumpet in hand and stunningly costumed as Mame Dennis, this 6” tall ornament was created in 2008 by Mia exclusively for BC/EFA.
GWEN VERDON
“She’s a brass band, she’s a harpsichord, she’s an…” ornament! Charity Hope Valentine was brought to glorious life in the original Broadway production of Sweet Charity by the late, great Gwen Verdon. Now Charity is back as the fifth ornament in our Broadway Legends series. Wearing her sexy black dress and striking a typical Fosse-esque pose, Charity beckons you to spend some time with her during the holiday season. Her flaming red hair, beautiful blue eyes and trademark tattoo are hand-painted on this 6” tall glass ornament made exclusively by the folks at Christopher Radko for BC/EFA.
BERNADETTE PETERS
The fourth ornament in our Broadway Legends series was the incandescent two-time Tony Award® winner Bernadette Peters as Dot in Sunday in the Park with George. In keeping with Georges Seurat’s famous painting and the costume designed for the original Broadway production by Patricia Zipprodt and Ann Hould-Ward, Bernadette’s Dot is dressed in her multi-colored jacket and skirt with a glittery purple apron overlay. She is even accompanied by the infamous cut-out monkey! So many possibilities…but the best thing to do is hang her on your tree.
