The term fake news was coined to mean, literally, false information intentionally created and passed off as real information. The intent of fake news is to deceive.
Factually incorrect information that was presented as news in good faith but is corrected is not fake news, not unless it is intentionally left uncorrected.
Factual news that is perhaps focused on at the expense of other news is not fake news, even if the act of curating could be called manipulative.
Factual news that is unpleasant to some factions is not fake news.
Calling all of the media fake news is fake news.
There are now several incidents of Kellyanne Conway, Sean Spicer and Donald Trump himself, at this rally in Florida Saturday ...
Trump, discussing terror, seamlessly mentions incident "last night in Sweden".There was NO "incident" in Sweden last night. pic.twitter.com/XtcC4PRiNU

.. referring to terrorist incidents that NEVER HAPPENED. Conway infamously referenced Bowling Green, Spicer allegedly confused Orlando with Atlanta, and now Trump has referred to a non-existent terrorist incident in Sweden on Friday when no event of any kind occurred.
This is a pattern, not a series of mistakes.
These grifters are gaslighting America. The rest of the world knows it's fake news, but a good % of the American public is saluting the cardboard cut-out:
The Best Vistor I could ever have!President Trump came to Florida to see me! Wow, never will forget this!@realDonaldTrump @thebestcloser pic.twitter.com/galTF85biz

I honestly do not believe there is hope for America after Trump's ascendance to the throne. He is chipping away at the country's already shaky trust in the media, and I do not believe that is something that can be recovered. His goons will believe anything. I believe he is highly beatable in four years, but not sure he'll last, and yet I don't think it matters — he has already destroyed any concept of the office as anything good, noble and decent, and will have utterly destroyed too many people's faith in what's real and what's fake.
For the record: He's fake. Take me to the camps first.
