Oh Canada, we really needed this.
A marketing agency called The Garden decided to collect Canadians' opinions on their southern neighbor. It created a website called "Tell America It's Great" and invited Canadians to submit video comments.
The Toronto-based company cites the negativity of the presidential campaign as a reason for giving Americans a reason to smile.
"The election has exposed some pretty scary realities that will likely challenge them for years to come, regardless of who's elected," the company said in its blog.
"Seems America could use some cheering up right about now," the site says. "As their closest friends and neighbours, we thought we should take a minute to help remind them that no matter how bad things might seem at the moment, there are lots of reasons why we think they’re still pretty great."
This video is the result.
Videos cite America's contributions to music, space travel and technology, among others.
The hashtag — #tellamericaitsgreat — also is adding to the mostly warm sentiments.

Still others say the campaign is a way for Canadians to keep Americans out of their country once the election is over.
Canadians are only doing #TellAmericaItsGreat to make us stay here and not flood their country after this election lol— Magic Marley (@Magic_Marley13) October 15, 2016
