The Olympics Men's Team Table Tennis playoff began Friday.


In the team tournament 16 teams square off against each other, with the Chinese medal winners anchoring their country's team, and Mizutani on the Japan team. There is no Belarus team in the competition, but they have a solid cornerstone for future development.

Featured is Ukrainian born Dimitrij Ovtcharov, who plays for the German national team. His team squares off today against Taiwan.
