Adam Lambert offered the first look at his Rocky Horror Picture Show character on Instagram Wednesday, sporting a full sleeve of tattoos, a jerry curl, and a pouty-faced grimace.
The 34-year-old American Idol runner-up will play Eddie, a role originated by Meat Loaf in the 1975 film, when Fox’s hotly-anticipated reboot airs this fall.
Lambert will appear opposite Laverne Cox, who’s been serving a mighty impressive Dr. Frank N. Furter in teaser trailers since May.
Lambert revealed in March that the role of Frank N. Furter was originally offered to him but he turned it down because it “felt inappropriate.”
“I think they made a really bold, refreshing choice on that,” he said of the decision to cast Cox. “It’s very forward-thinking and it feels very right now, which is going to make this remake really interesting.”
The Rocky Horror Picture Show airs October 22 on Fox.
