"She must become our next President."From: NewNowNext
After a long and sometimes bitter primary season, Bernie Sanders finally endorsed Hillary Clinton at a campaign rally in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
JUST IN: Bernie Sanders: "I am endorsing Hillary Clinton." https://t.co/FnkCHz2fkB— ABC News (@ABC) July 12, 2016
The endorsement comes over a month after Clinton became the presumptive Democratic nominee. Senator Elizabeth Warren, Vice President Joe Biden and President Obama have all campaigned with or endorsed the former Secretary of State.
“This campaign is not really about Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump or Bernie Sanders,” Said the Vermont Senator. “This campaign is about the needs of the American people and addressing the very serious crises that we face. And there is no doubt in my mind that as we head into November, Hillary Clinton is far and away the best candidate to do that.”
.@HillaryClinton has won the Democratic nominating process, and I congratulate her for that. https://t.co/FrKbEmyuC6— Bernie Sanders (@BernieSanders) July 12, 2016
“I intend to do everything I can to make certain that she will be the next president of the United States,” Sanders told the roaring crowd.
"Together, we will continue to fight for a government which represents all of us, and not just the 1%." —@BernieSanders— Hillary Clinton (@HillaryClinton) July 12, 2016
He will also campaign for Clinton, promising that he will “be in every corner of this country” to ensure that she becomes the next president.
Thank you, @BernieSanders, not just for your endorsement, but for a lifetime of fighting injustice.— Hillary Clinton (@HillaryClinton) July 12, 2016
