"I did it, why can't the boys do it? I think they heard me. Junk equality!"From: NewNowNext
We stood by Game of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke earlier this year when she said there should be more male nudity on her hit HBO show, and in this past Sunday’s episode we all got our wish.
Sure, the closeup of the penis belonged to a theater actor in Braavos who was examining it for warts, but we’ll take what we can get, since, as Clarke previously pointed out, “There’s a little bit of inequality between the amount of nudity that happens with women—this woman in particular—and that happens with the other guys.”
She appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Monday night and celebrated the fact that this week it was a man’s turn to strip down for the mega-hit show.
“I think they heard me,” she proudly told Colbert. “Junk equality.”
Clarke was only one of many stars who have voiced that the show could use a little more male nudity, including former Prince Joffrey actor, Jack Gleeson.
“I think that is one good thing, to not just objectify women but also objectify the beauty of the male genitalia,” Gleeson said last year. “We’re all objects together.”
You can watch Clarke and Colbert discuss the newest character on Game of Thrones, as Colbert dubbed the penis, in the segment below.
