We need to discuss Soul Kiss. It was Olivia’s most critically maligned album. It’s also my favorite Olivia album. It was slick, sexy, and veered into camp at times, which should not be dismissed. The gloriously schlocky “Culture Shock” is universally loathed, but I think it’s a hoot.
