Where there’s a celebrity nude, it seems Bette Midler will follow, at least on Twitter anyway.
The 70-year-old icon, who’s set to hit Broadway this fall as the formidable matchmaker Dolly Levi in a revival of “Hello, Dolly!,” recently made headlines for her nude-selfie-inspired Twitter spat with Kim Kardashian, so it’s no surprise that she’d have something to say about Bieber’s latest butt-baring shot on Instagram.

This isn’t the first time the Divine Miss M has poked fun at Bieber on the internet. Last October, she took to Twitter to comment on a strange tweet Bieber’s father posted after the release of a full-frontal paparazzi shot of his son.
The tweet, which read “@justinbieber what do you feed that thing. #proud daddy,” garnered this response from Midler:

In an interview with Billboard, Bieber responded, “This Britt Meddler. I don’t even know who that is, honestly. I wanted to immediately say, ‘Who is this lady?,’ but then I’m just fueling this negativity.”
Not one to let the last word slip by, Middler tweeted:
