Jay Louden and the Sex Freaks in “Justice”
Episode 1.8 Season One of TNG is pretty much a disaster, with a few good episodes among a lot of dreck, and that dreck definitely includes “Justice.” The Enterprise crew is given shore leave on the idyllic planet of Rubicun III, but make a fateful discovery. Any law infraction is punished by … death! Naturally, clumsy oaf Wesley tests this when he accidentally tramples some flowers (in their defense, the flowers were lovely), and Capt. Picard has to break the Prime Directive to save him.
It would be a completely forgettable episode if it weren’t for the citizens of Rubicun III, the Edo, who are … friendly and welcoming. Jay Louden plays the lead Edo, and he and the rest of the men on the planet wear skimpy outfits made from the leftover wardrobe scraps from Xanadu and Can’t Stop The Music. It’s simultaneously hot and cringe-inducing.
