Mo Rocca has spent a lot of time with Catholics this week.
The openly gay reporter and comedian gave the first Bible reading at Pope Francis’ Mass in New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Friday.
LGBT rights activists were thrilled by Rocca’s inclusion, hoping it was a sign that the Pope followed through on his words that implied he would make the Church more welcoming to gays and lesbians.
Next up is a YouTube video of Mo driving a nun around town, discussing Bible stories.
“Cain and Abel are like Randy and Dennis Quaid,” Rocca joked. “I’m sorry, people just liked Dennis Quaid more.”
