After disco faded from the charts, dance music had a tough time on the pop chart, but a new era was launched with this freestyle classic. It was Shannon’s only single to hit the top forty (although the terrific “Give Me Tonight” and “Do You Wanna Get Away” came close), peaking at #8 in February 1984.
