If you have only ever seen a movie in a movie theater that shares space with several other movie theaters, then you've never really seen a film in a movie theater. Even the big IMAX screens can't compare to the glorious movie theaters of yore that feature just one screen and, in many cases, hundreds of seats. Watching a movie in one of these movie palaces really was a shared experience of the kind that you just can't easily replicate today. For that reason, Movie Theater Day should ideally be celebrated in a cinema from Hollywood's golden age. Failing, watch these on your widescreen TV.
