In the new Instinct (November 2013), Steve Grand takes on the misguided gay critics who've said he uses his sexuality too much in his videos, and that it sets gay people back:
"I use my sexuality just as much as any straight person who makes a music video. For me, it's not a big deal that it's about two men. That's the whole point. That same story could have been told with a man and a woman or two women."
