As a poet, Adam remains inspired and influenced by the urban-spiritualism of The New York School. His work has appeared in online and print journals including Spork, Gertrude, CityArts magazine, and the anthology The Full Spectrum, from Knopf press. He creates folk music under the name Tenderfoot. His visual art is mostly sculptural and assemblage-based, and stems from the desire to arrange and bind objects in a powerful way, recontextualizing building materials, masculine accoutrements and ephemera.
