Google is honoring legendary children's author Maurice Sendak's birthday today with a "wild" Google Doodle on its homepage. Sendak passed away early last year and would have turned 85 today.
The Google Doodle follows Max, from Sendak's famous 1963 book "Where the Wild Things Are," and his fanged monster friends as they walk through the world of Sendak's vivid book illustrations, from "In The Night Kitchen" to "Bumble-Ardy."
