Photographer Uses Gay Hook Up Apps As Means of Photographing Strangers

"As of lately we have had a wicked crush on the work of photographer Dan Ostergren, featuring his handsome photographs HERE and HERE (NSFW).

Dan Ostergren tells me this about this series he is calling “Strangers Project”:

“These photos are from a project I did over my last Summer in San Francisco. I used Grindr, Scruff and other means of photographing strangers, usually only after a few hours after talking to them on the app or just after meeting them. This forced the model to be vulnerable, and didn’t allow them to cover themselves in a facade. Just real, honest portraits.”
