You might have thought it was another snowstorm headed our way after seeing the panic in much of the gay community yesterday, but the alarm was over something much scarier — Grindr stopped working.
When guys looking to make a new friend for the weekend signed into the hookup app, they were met with the following notice.
Switching from that app to another in order to vent their frustrations, Grindr fans headed to Twitter to try and make sense of the world after the futile tragedy.
Check out a random sampling of their reactions below, and hopefully it will make you feel less alone the next time you’re faced with such a crisis.
Grindr is down, which means a lot of conservative wives are glad their husbands are spending time with them right now. #grindr

Grindr has been down all day and that means all the gays going out tonight have to actually talk to each other pic.twitter.com/C6RlT0Wday

I think @Grindr's down. I've deleted and re-installed and nada. How am I supposed to get ignored by semi-alright looking boys now?!

Grindr is down and people are faced with the unthinkable prospect of having to engage in real life conversations.
