Kit Harington is king of yet another magazine! The ‘Game Of Thrones’ heartthrob is Rolling Stone’s cover boy, and let’s just say, he’s looking mighty fine. If you like what you see on the cover, just wait until you read what Kit had to say in the interview!
Kit Harington stars as one of the most famed characters on television, but in Rolling Stone‘s May 2014 issue, the English actor admits he’s nervous that Jon Snow will cause him to be type-casted! Keep reading for Game of Thrones scoop!
Kit Harington, 27, plays the intense Jon Snow on Game Of Thrones, and in a brand new interview, he admits that he has a lot in common with the brooding bastard son of the late Ned Stark (Sean Bean)!
“Snow’s a black sheep,” Kit tells Rolling Stone. “The thing that drives both of us is more similar than you might think — he’s driven by ambition. I’ve always been very ambitious too. Snow is a good person who believes in what he’s doing, but that’s the struggle: balancing duty with ambition. That’s how I feel about my life. I’m very ambitious, but how do I balance that with not f***ing other people up around me?”
Kit continues to tell the magazine that he understands why Jon is a fan-favorite character.
“The show started when the economy was very bad,” Kit says. “People were looking for a hero trying to make his way through a dark world that they didn’t understand. That’s Jon Snow.”
Not only is his character popular among the fans — Kit, whose first on-screen acting gig in America was Game Of Thrones, has become a sex-symbol and Hollywood heartthrob throughout the past four seasons. But he hasn’t let the fame get to him at all. “I don’t do Twitter because I don’t want to talk about myself more than I already have to…I don’t want people thinking they know me instead of the character.”
Getting cast in Game Of Thrones shot Kit directly to super-stardom, but he admits that he’s still fearful of every actor’s worst nightmare: being type-casted. “I told my agent, ‘no more swords, no more horses,’” Kit told Rolling Stone, adding, “You don’t want to get stuck.” Remember, the actor also starred in the 2014 film Pompeii, as the sword-wielding gladiator, Milo.
In the interview, Kit adds, “And maybe I can cut my hair.”
We cannot imagine Kit without his long locks, but we have a feeling that he will look good no matter what ‘do he rocks next.
