Michael Fassbender in "Shame" and "Hunger"

Michael Fassbender (born 2 April 1977) is an Irish-German actor. His notable roles include Lt. Archie Hicox in the film Inglourious Basterds (2009), Magneto in the superhero film X-Men: First Class (2011), David in the science fiction movie Prometheus (2012), and slave owner Edwin Epps in 12 Years a Slave (2013), a historical drama that earned him a 2014 Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. In 2014, Fassbender will reprise his role as Magneto in X-Men: Days of Future Past, followed by Assassin's Creed in 2015.

His other credits include the fantasy action film 300 (2007); the drama film Fish Tank (2009); the romantic drama film Jane Eyre (2011); the historical film A Dangerous Method (2011); the biographical film Hunger (2008) and the drama film Shame (2011), both directed by Steve McQueen. For his role in Shame, he won the Volpi Cup best actor award at the 68th Venice International Film Festival held in August 2011, and was nominated for a Golden Globe Award and a BAFTA.

Shame is a 2011 British drama film cowritten and directed by Steve McQueen, starring Michael Fassbender and Carey Mulligan. It was coproduced by Film4 and See-Saw Films. The film's explicit sexual scenes regarding sexual addiction resulted in it being rated NC-17 in the United States, where it opened on December 2, 2011 in limited release. Shame was released in the United Kingdom on 13 January 2012. The film grossed $17,000,000 by the end of its world-wide theatrical run, including nearly $4,000,000 in the United States.

 Storyline
Brandon (Michael Fassbender) is a successful, handsome advertising executive in his thirties living a fantasy life of hypersexuality in New York City. Distanced from his dysfunctional family and seemingly without any close friends, his carefully cultivated life lets him indulge a growing secret sexual addiction, while struggling with his eroding ability to connect emotionally with anyone

Speaking of George Clooney wishing he could ride Michael Fassbender‘s dick, here is a post about Michael Fassbender’s dick. Sort of! In these stills from Shame—courtesy of our pals at OMG Blog—you can see a nice silhouette of the star’s shaft, as well as a giant blurry blob where his genitals should be.
People who've seen Shame, is this really all we get to see? I mean, really! There must be more penis than this! If not, all this controversy (and hype) was over nothing (except for the incredibly graphic sex scenes and gratuitous shots of Michael Fassbender’s ass).
Hunger is a 2008 British-Irish historical drama film directed by Steve McQueen and starring Michael Fassbender, Liam Cunningham, and Liam McMahon, about the 1981 Irish hunger strike. It was written by Enda Walsh and McQueen.

It premiered at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival, winning the prestigious Caméra d'Or award for first-time filmmakers. It went on to win the Sydney Film Prize at the Sydney Film Festival, the Grand Prix of the Belgian Syndicate of Cinema Critics, best picture from the Evening Standard British Film Awards, and received two BAFTA nominations, winning one. The film was also nominated for eight awards at the 2009 IFTAs, winning six at the event.

The film stars Fassbender as Bobby Sands, the Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA) volunteer and M.P. who led the second IRA hunger strike and participated in the no wash protest (led by Brendan "The Dark" Hughes) in which Republican prisoners tried to regain political status when it was revoked by the British government in 1976. It dramatizes events in the Maze Prison in the period leading up to the hunger strike and Sands' death.

 Storyline
Hunger follows life in the Maze Prison, Northern Ireland with an interpretation of the highly emotive events surrounding the 1981 IRA Hunger Strike, led by Bobby Sands. With an epic eye for detail, the film provides a timely exploration of what happens when body and mind are pushed to the uttermost limit
