IS THERE LIFE AFTER PORN ? MANY HAVE ASKED THE QUESTION. MANY HAVE TRIED TO ANSWER IT. AND JUST AS MANY HAVE FAILED. BUT EVERY NOW AND THAN YOU FIND SOMEONE WHO PROOFS THE OPPOSITE. SOMEONE WITH THE RIGHT ATTITUDE, THE RIGHT PERSONALITY AND THE RIGHT MINDSET WHO SHOWS THAT WHATEVER YOU DO IN LIFE, IT IS YOU AND YOU ALONE WHO DECIDED WHETHER YOU ARE A SUCCESS OR NOT.
Living a successful life as a runway model and TV host. Being admired by many for who you are and what you stand for. It is a dream for many, and a reality for only a very few. So if you get the chance to do all that, would you give it all up for something completely different. Something of which most people probably would say it doesn't have a chance of succeeding? Would you be bold and daring enough to take that risk? Dionisio Heiderscheid did it all and, more than that, made an icon of himself.
Dionisio Heiderscheid, born and raised in Argentina, has never been the kind of guy to do things the conventional way. Blessed with good look and a gorgeous body – which of course did not just happen to be over night – Dionisio first tried his luck in modeling. It was the first proof that whatever Dionisio touches turns into gold. At the age of 20, Dionisio found himself on fashion runways. First in Argentina, but very soon the high fashion universe in France, Italy and Germany met the ambitious young Argentine. His fame rose to the level that TV scouts started to show interest in Dionisio and not long after he made his entrée in the international fashion world, he was offered a TV hosting contract. Dionisio took his chance and became a national celeb
Once you reach celebrity status, there isn’t much more you can do. Dionisio Heidersheid however isn’t the kind of guy to let things simmer. Having presented TV shows for 3 years, Dionisio wanted something else. Something new and unprecedented. And so he packed his things, bought a one way ticket to the United States and started meeting people in the adult entertainment industry, hoping to build a career in gay porn. Obviously he didn't have to lobby for long. In no time Dionisio found himself in front of the camera, turning his first porn movie under his self-adopted porn star name D.O. But Dionisio would be who he is if he hadn't done something a bit different. Carefully planning his career and with the next steps in mind, he choose to work for Black Scorpio Video, a relatively unknown production house. By doing this he was able to slowly create a name for himself which would than be picked up by the bigger companies. And like before, Dionisio succeeded. His work for Black Scorpio Video was noticed and soon he found himself on the sets of Raging Stallion and Falcon.
Dionisio Heiderscheid’s decision to turn from high fashion model and TV host into a gay porn actor was risqué to say the least. Many would say that once you step into that world, there is no turning around. But once again Dionisio proofed them wrong. Due to his professional attitude, his humble nature and – yes – his good looks, Dionisio became a much sought after artistic model. He met and worked with some of the greatest names in male physique photography and even made his comeback in mainstream fashion. And all of a sudden, that veil of taboo was lifted. All of a sudden the world saw a man who, by determination and healthy ambition, was able to shake off that negative image so many often have of adult entertainment models. Working for the big porn companies Dionisio already looked forward. He opened a restaurant in Argentina and slowly prepared the city for his return. In 2011, with the launch of his iconic photo book Freedom, Dionisio announced he would retire from porn. Now, 2 years later, Dionisio is ready for his new adventure. Dionisio proofed that there is indeed life after porn, after D.O. Last spring he sold his restaurant and a few weeks ago he opened a wine bar in the heart of Buenos Aires. Dionisio is most certainly an active entrepreneur, a man who is always looking for a new challenge. And one who has showed the world that whatever you want to do, you can make a success of yourself. –BM-
