Andriy Viktorovych Voronin (Ukrainian: Андрій Вікторович Воронін; born 21 July 1979) is a Ukrainian professional footballer. Voronin spent five full seasons in the Fußball-Bundesliga of Germany. Voronin is currently a striker or attacking midfielder of Dynamo Moscow. Known for his ability on the ball and outstanding technique, Andriy has been often referred to as the 'perfect' modern striker. He has also garnered many fans across the footballing world with his renowned array of tricks and flicks, his trademark move the 'Vorinin special' has become a huge hit with players everywhere.
His previous professional clubs include Borussia Mönchengladbach, Mainz, Köln, Bayer Leverkusen, Liverpool, Hertha BSC, and Dynamo Moscow. In the 2002–03 season, Voronin became top goalscorer in the 2. Bundesliga, which in the way granted him acceptance to the German premiers after being transferred to the Bundesliga member, Köln. At international level, he has frequently been played as a forward for Ukraine and upon the conclusion of the European continental championship UEFA Euro 2012 Voronin announced about his retirement of a national team.
