(1935—1995)
An absolute fixture on '50s and '60s TV, his best work and—to paraphrase Tyra Banks—his best look came on The Virginian. You could do worse than a strapping blond with a big gun. You have him (in part) to thank for, "Hi, I'm Troy McClure!" on The Simpsons.
