The Duggar Family
The Bible-thumping, gay-hating Duggar family had their reputation ruined and their TLC reality show cancelled in May after their eldest son, Josh, admitted to molesting two of his sisters plus three other underage girls in their sleep when he was 17 years old. If that wasn’t vile enough, a few months later Josh was outed for having not one but two Ashley Madison accounts, which he used to facilitate extramarital affairs while his unsuspecting wife, Anna, was busy carrying his children. Oh, but it doesn’t stop there. In November, adult film actress Danica Dillon filed a lawsuit against Josh accusing him of beating her during sex then giving her $1500 in hush money as a gift. We suspect Karma may not be quite finished with this one yet.

Pledge of Allegiance Day is observed annually on December 28.
Congress formally recognized the Pledge of Allegiance on December 28, 1945. Thought to have been written by Francis Bellamy, the Pledge of Allegiance was published anonymously by a magazine for young people, The Youth’s Companion, and was written in celebration of the 400th anniversary, in 1892, of the discovery of America.
The text of the pledge, as originally written and modified a bit by the National Flag Conference in 1923 and 1924, was inserted into this legislation, but without designating it as the official pledge. In its original form it read: “I pledge allegiance to my Flag and the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.” The small changes made resulted in this version: “I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
The words “under God” were added by Congress on June 14, 1954, in response to the anti-Communist opinion sweeping the country during the Cold War.

“I’d Do It All Again”
Sam Harris
Out singer Sam Harris was the first Star Search Grand Champion in 1983, and was immediately signed by Motown, releasing his first album in 1984, which included his only top 40 single “Sugar Don’t Bite.” His 1986 followup “I’d Do It All Again” should have been a bigger hit, but peaked at #52 in March, and would be his last entry on the Hot 100.

He played mostly character parts over the course of his film career, but during the 1940s had a string of roles as a leading man. He won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Johnny Eager (1942)
