Kanye West stunned fans into silence during a concert in San Jose on Thursday night when he revealed that he didn’t vote in last week’s election, but “would’ve voted for Trump” if he had.
The controversial rapper said that there were things he liked about the president-elect’s campaign in a political rant that reportedly lasted for over 25 minutes.
“There’s methods, non-political methods to speaking, that I like – that I feel were very futuristic,” West said. “That style and that method of communication has proven that it can be a politically correct way of communication. And I fuck with that.”

Kanye also sent a message to black people telling them to “stop focusing on racism.”
“[Voting for Trump] don’t mean that I don’t think that black lives matter; that don’t mean I don’t believe in women’s rights; that don’t mean that I don’t believe in gay marriage,” he declared. “This world is racist, okay? Let’s stop being distracted to focus on that as much. It’s just a fucking fact: We are a racist fucking country, period.”
