August 4 - 6 at at NYC's Laurie Beechman Theatre
Over the past six years, the openly gay Aussie comic has taken the Australian comedy festival circuit by storm, scored his own standup comedy special, opened for Joan Rivers and won a legion of fans as a finalist on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Lovingly referred to as Australia’s ‘Acid Tongue Prince’, Creasey returns to New York with another night of laughs delivered in signature Creasey style: tight jeans, big hair and a truckload of wicked stories.

August 5 - 12 at NYC's Feinstein's/54 Below
Two-time Tony winner Norbert Leo Butz (Catch Me If You Can, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) returns with his hit show Girls, Girls, Girls focusing on the female – both the mythic & the contemporary. Expect tunes from the likes of Elvis Costello, Loretta Lynn, Frank Sinatra and even a little Johnny Cash!

August 12 - September 10 at Stage 773 in Chicago
Hell in a Handbag Productions is pleased to bring back last season’s steamy, sell-out hit with Caitlin Jackson recreating Bette Midler’s historic bathhouse concert in New York City. Featuring live music from Jeremy Ramey as Barry Manilow, Chad as Mr. Gerald (bathhouse patron and hairdresser to the stars) and singing bathhouse boys in strategically placed towels (TJ Crawford and Will Wilhelm), this loving recreation of the beginning of Ms. Midler’s stellar career features such fabulous songs as "Chattanooga Choo-Choo", "Superstar" and, of course, "Chapel of Love" (click here for my 2015 review).

August 13 & 14 in Chicago
Northalsted Market Days is the largest outdoor street festival in the Midwest! Famous for its vast array of national talent, unique vendors, arts, crafts, food and drink, Northalsted Market Days gathers a crowd of over 180,000 people from across the globe to celebrate on Chicago's Halsted Street. August 15 at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park
Sponsored by ABC 7 Chicago and hosted by Janet Davies, this year's free concert will feature performances by Disney’s Aladdin, Beautiful - The Carole King Musical, The Bodyguard, Finding Neverland, Fun Home, Hedwig and the Angry Inch,The King and I, Something Rotten!, Stomp and Cameron Mackintosh’s new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera.

August 16 at Provincetown's Town Hall
The Tony Award-winning Broadway star appears in concert with Mary-Mitchell Campbell at the piano. This event will help raise funds for The Tyler Clementi Foundation.

August 19 & 20 at Feinstein's at the Nikko in San Francisco
Spencer Day invites you to join him as he travels through a 100 year period of music that has inspired him as a songwriter. This is the premiere of his new show, Western Standard Time, featuring several original compositions, as well as unique takes on songs from artists such as Rufus Wainwright, Paul Simon, Blondie to Gershwin, Cole Porter, and a few one hit wonders. By weaving together music from every decade of the last century, Day reveals how much these songs share in common and have informed his creative sensibility.

August 20 at Chicago's Auditorium Theatre
Dance for Life Chicago is the annual benefit dance concert that brings together the incredibly talented, world-renowned professional dancers of Chicago for one night on the same stage, including Giordano Dance Chicago, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, the Joffrey Ballet, Chicago Dance Crash and Vicseral Dance Chicago. Funds raised assist The Dancers’ Fund and the AIDS Foundation of Chicago.

August 21 at Provincetown's Town Hall
The Tony Award-winning Broadway star appears in concert with special guests Will Swenson and pianist/host Seth Rudetsky for an evening of incredible songs and conversation.
