Elton John, Madonna, Ryan Reynolds, And Others React To Death Of George Michael

The sudden passing of George Michael on Christmas Day stunned millions around the world, including numerous celebrities who either knew Michael as a friend or were greatly influenced by his work.

“I am in deep shock,” tweeted Elton John. “I have lost a beloved friend – the kindest, most generous soul and a brilliant artist.”



Others who sent words of condolence included Madonna, Ellen DeGeneres and Geri Halliwell, who had been close to the singer for years.















And there were those who grew up on his music.
