The Graces
After The Go-Gos went on an extended hiatus, Belinda Carlisle and Jane Wiedlin embarked on successful solo careers, and Charlotte Caffey formed The Graces with Meredith Brooks and Gia Ciambotti. They released their only album Perfect View in 1989, and when it failed on the chart, they disbanded, with Meredith going on to score one of the iconic songs of the 90’s with “Bitch.” But The Graces did give us the spirited single “Lay Down Your Arms,” which hit #56 in September 1989.
