Reasons NOT to TIVO "Grey's Anatomy"

Reasons to continue to not TIVO:
June 8, 2008
From: Favorite Hunks & Other Things

5.
Chandra Wilson

Did anyone but me find that Miranda had little to do last season? Her scenes are usually my favorite, but last season she seemed to be on screen less. Fix this! Chandra Wilson is a breakout favorite and deserves a story line to match her popularity and most of all her talent.

 4.
Ellen Pompeo

Meredith is annoying, Meredith is over exposed on the show, Meredith is one of the most self obsessed characters I have ever seen on television. But... Ellen Pompeo is one of the shows most underrated actress’s. Heigl,Wilson and Oh get most of the praise, and it is deserved, but Pompeo is a masterful actress, carrying this drama on her far to small shoulders. She does it without flash or overacting. She is brilliant, and the fact she is not showy about her brilliance is all the more reason to love her work.

 3.
Shonda Rhimes and all of the writers

What can I say, I have hated certain story lines (George and Izzy), love others, but even with their ups and downs this writing team is a step above most on TV. Hour long drama’s are going to have peaks and valleys but even the valleys of Grey’s are often stunning to watch. I hope the writers stick to their vision and not be sidelines by the actors or pressure from others. They have maintained writing great front story, back story as well as great medical stories for the guest cast. They even do over the top well, and have perfected subtle. Sometimes you need to rewatch an episode or scene to fully get the complexities of the dialogue. Great job!

 4.
Sandra Oh

What to say, her stripping off the wedding dress scene was one of the most heartbreaking, complex and well acted scenes on TV in a long time. Christina lost her way this past season, but Oh was still top notch. Looking to forward to more Oh next season.

 5.
Favorite Reason to not Tivo: Justin Chambers and Alex Karev

Sorry Dempsey, but Justin Chambers is the shows best actor. Alex Karev is the shows best and most complex male character. Justin has grown in the 4 years the show has been on the air, and this former model who was replaced on Another World years ago is stunning as Alex. His scenes in the season ender were just amazing. The complexity of Alex is being revealed very slowly, too slowly at times as I want more Alex scenes, but at the same time the slow reveal of his motives is very realistic. I for one am hoping for an eventual long term pairing of Alex and Izzy and although I enjoyed the beginning of the Jane Doe story arc, by the end Elizabeth Reaser had outstayed her welcome to me. Looking forward to more of a focus on Alex and his relationships with the other characters next season. Justin can play venerable, angry, sarcastic, comedy and drama better than most on the show. Underrated and under written for, but hopefully this will change.

Honorable Mention
Eric Dane

Who does not love Mark Sloan, I still get excited thinking about his towel scene, come on Sondra, a few more shirtless Mark scenes will only help next season. How about a butt shot? If NYPD Blue could do it, so could Grey’s
